Bougez+ Mobilier scolaire,

Paris 2015.

Laureate of the Jean Prouvé competition” organised  par the Ministry of National Education, the UGAP and the VIA."

The child (as the adult) stuck on his chair too long, can consider learning as a deprivation of his freedom of movement and mind even though it is an emancipation lever. Assuming that there is not one but several postures for work, Bougez+ offers a multitude of possible ergonomics based on work situations. Indeed, the comfort position to write is not the same to read or work in a group...

By embedding a removable tray in Dibond (strong and light) in a steel structure, one can obtain a horizontal plane (productive work), but also an oblique plane ( for a tablet ), or a vertical plane to form the seat of a chair (listening, reading) or a standing seat (working group: one moves spontaneously to exchange)

As an architect, I have considered the diffterent ways we use computing tools fo r either business or recreation, doing so in smaller and smaller living space .

This led me to create an extremely light desk for kids that can be used for occasional work and that can also be turned into a long chair where one can settle comfortably in a sort of cocoon while reading, playing a game or watching a movie on a tablet. This small desk can be used by adults as a stool or a coffe table

To summarize, the “chaise renversée” is a desk for those who do not wish to have a desk at home.  Indeed, they think that a desk which is used only occasionally for important emails or paying bills is much too cumbersome in a small living space.  A desk that can be converted into a comfortable long chair after the work is finished is much more useful at home.

New Hotel Candide

Paris 2019.

For the renovation of the Candide hotel, the owners wanted to commission 3 designers to create a piece of furniture of their choice to be set up in each room without exceeding the budget of a commercial piece of furniture.

We wished to pay tribute to the history of the neighbourhood, which was once very famous for its metal workshops, by imagining a bedside table/side desk set in metal with integrated reading light. It is a kind of graphic composition that is fixed to the wall to free up as much space as possible from the limited space of the rooms.

Chaise racine, Urban furniture,

Paris 2011.

A design for a triple aspiration

-urban dimension:  overlaying of functions in one place to intensify space and therefore better save it. (Illustration of a small-scale multifunctional urban planning as a remedy for urban sprawl)

-An interactive dimension: no formal research imposed by the designer but an object that the user deforms, bends, stretches, depending on their needs and moods.

Economic-potential: Use of the ground surface as a space of communication and expression

This bookcase is made of different modules that gave the impression to collapse and disappear behind the wall. Beyond the funny shape, it also gives to the user a multitude way to arrange and compose the wall.
